I've created this blog to share my own personal view on Palestine. I travelled there with a group of activists in 2011. When I went there, I just knew the very basics of the conflict. I believe if I had more information about it, I could have asked better questions and found out more information, but the fact I didn't know that much, gave me the chance to just look at it with my own eyes instead of being influenced by someone else's opinions.
That's the reason I've created this blog. I'm sure there are others like this one as I'm not the only one who has done this trip, but every person has a different point of view, experiences and way of expressing themselves. So, hoping some people can relate to this, learn something or simply get interested in this conflict, I wanted to share it.
There are also plenty of blogs and websites explaining with names and dates the political conflict and its history, but I'm not interested in that. It's very important to know what has happened in the past if we don't want to make the same mistakes in the future, and in order to be able to analyse it properly, but again, this is not what I was most interested in.
I've talked to a lot of people about the world in general and we sometimes get tired of politicians fighting with each other, banks, wars, etc. What's really going on in there? In the cities, inside people's houses, in their families. This is what I really wanted to know and what I've found out some other people wanted to know. I care about people, how they are affected by this type of situations and how we can solve it. I don't care that much about talking to political organizations, conferences and others. I want to be in touch with the people struggling.
For those who read me, hope you enjoy it and if not, thanks for getting interested at least in what's going on in Palestine.
